Simmons Innovative Educational Services, LLC is an extension of our founder and creator, Mr. Stephan D. Simmons, MLA, M.Ed. When he created Simmons Innovative Educational Services, he had the holistic educational views in mind. Stephan began his career at the University of Texas-Arlington in 2005, as an Admissions Counselor, this position allowed him to understand what the college admissions process consists of and how to help students get the acceptance that they desire.
After leaving the University of Texas-Arlington, Stephan had the aspiration to carry this knowledge and work with underprivileged teens, particularly 1st generation students. This gave him the vision to assist this population of students by helping them get into the college and university of their choice.
Through his philanthropy efforts with several nonprofit organizations he realized his range of passion and growth amongst these organizations and this eventually motivated him to return to school and become a teacher and an educational facilitator.
Concurrently, he found himself guest speaking for many Texas area events and organizations. Stephan’s love is in the classroom, yet he has found joy with providing professional developments for teachers and other academia settings. Stephan received a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Texas Christian University, once believing to
attend law school before finding his true passion-educating our future. He has obtained two Masters degrees and is currently working on a doctorate with a focus in education. Education has always played an essential part of his life and he is a firm believer, plus a witness that education equals freedom.
